Chairman of the Gathering of National Unity Abdullatif Al-Mahmood said that he submitted his resignation from membership of International Union of Muslim Scholars last October.

The Arab Quartet countries, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt have announced in a joint statement adding the International Union of Muslim Scholars to their state-sponsor list of terrorism and terror financing.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain branded as terrorists 59 people, including president of the World Federation of Muslim Scholars Yusuf Al-Qaradawi.
