Human Rights Activist Hussein Jawad Released within "Open Prison" System

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities released on Wednesday (November 8, 2023) human rights activist Hussein Jawad, who has been arrested since December 2022, within the "open prisons" system, which requires the released to reside in a specific place and imposes several conditions.
The authorities earlier released four political detainees, within the "open prisons" system, among the 12 so-called "Manama Youths" group, which was arrested in March 2011 and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The four released detainees are: Abdullah Al-Hamad, Hasan Al-Mukharq, Hasan bin Rajab and Hussein Al-Saffar.
