Cassation Court Upholds Life Sentence against 2 Defendants, 7-year Jail Term against 7 Others over Claims of "Attempting to Smuggle Prisoners"

Bahrain Mirror: The Court of Cassation upheld a final life sentence against two "defendants" for allegedly "participating in an attempt to smuggle inmates (prisoners) at Jaw Central Prison, on August 10, 2022."
The authorities arrested 10 defendants, 3 of whom were sentenced by a court of first instance to life imprisonment, and the other 7 to 7 years in prison, claiming that the "first defendant" had schemed a plan to smuggle inmates using a weapon and by provoking riots.
