Bahrain Mirror: Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday, November 2, 2023, that the issuance of a decision not by the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the "departure" of the Israeli Ambassador in Manama, and the "return" of the Bahraini Ambassador from Tel Aviv, likely indicates that this step aims to "calm the Bahraini public opinion" regarding the official stance on the aggression on Gaza.
Israel's foreign ministry added that "no notification or decision has been received from the government of Bahrain and the government of Israel to return the countries' ambassadors. Relations between Israel and Bahrain are stable."
Sayed Taher Al-Mousawi, a member of the General Secretariat of the "Al-Wefaq" Society, said that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the occupation entity mocked the statement of the Bahraini parliament on the departure of the Israeli ambassador and the suspension of economic relations between Bahrain and Israel."
"Was a decree issued appointing the (Bahraini) House of Representatives as a spokesman for the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs?" he wondered, stressing that "the demand of the people of Bahrain is to cancel the normalization agreement completely."
The announcement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry came in response to a statement by the Bahraini parliament on Thursday, in which it said that the Israeli ambassador in Manama had left and claimed that it recalled the Bahraini ambassador from Tel Aviv.
