Bahrain Mirror: The horrific and savage bombardment by the Zionist war machine, targeting the Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip, resulted in the tragic death of at least 1,300 martyrs, according to the latest statistics released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health on the night of Tuesday, October 17, 2023. 

It is expected that the toll of this dreadful massacre will increase as more bodies are recovered by specialized authorities.

This massacre has reverberated globally, prompting tens of thousands of Arab citizens to protest in front of the embassies of the Israeli entity or its American sponsor. These demonstrations have even spread to several Western countries, with people rallying to denounce this sheer brutality.
Bahrainis are no exception; they have taken to the streets in spontaneous marches. It is anticipated that large-scale protests will continue to condemn this tragedy, with citizens demanding the expulsion of the ambassador representing the occupying entity in Bahrain.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the incident and offering condolences to the victims' families and the brotherly Palestinian people. However, this statement comes across as insensitive, given Bahrain's normalization of relations with the entity.

If such a statement had been issued by neighboring Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or Qatar, it might have been more acceptable, as these countries do not have diplomatic relations with the enemy. However, Bahrain's decision to normalize relations with the entity comes with its own set of consequences and effects. The regime's normalization decision, against the wishes of the people, aimed to serve the Palestinian cause but has instead emboldened the occupiers to commit more crimes, which have increased considerably since the signing of the shameful agreements. 

To truly show solidarity and condemnation, Bahrain's authorities should take concrete actions rather than rely solely on statements. Expelling the Israeli ambassador would be a meaningful expression of condemnation and protest against what transpired. The responsibility to do so does not fall on the shoulders of the Minister of Foreign Affairs or the Foreign Ministry, since he is merely an employee who does what is asked of him. The responsibility for such a decision rests with the highest echelons of the state, including the king, the crown prince, and the prime minister.

Maintaining an embassy of the murderous entity in Bahrain is an affront to all Bahrainis. If the ruling family chooses to forsake its national and Islamic identity, it should at least uphold its dignity, which the Israelis trample with each rocket and bomb aimed at our Palestinian brothers in Gaza.
