Bahrain Mirror: Ahmed Isa Abdulhussein, a detainee in Jaw Central Prison, sentenced to life imprisonment, announced launching hunger strike until achieving his demands after exhausting all attempts and knocking on all doors for 4 years.
In an audio recording, the detainee refuted the Ombudsman's claim that the detainees were "receiving full health care," saying: "For 4 years now, I have been complaining about not receiving treatment, but it has not done anything."
He added that "Khalid Al-Dosari and Mohammed Al-Manai, affiliated with the Ombudsman, interviewed me on July 18, 2023, following a complaint submitted by my family, and wrote a report on all the diseases I have been suffering from for a long time, and so far there is no solution or response from the Secretariat, the prison's administration and its infirmary."
Detainee Abdulhussein confirmed that he will continue his hunger strike until his demands are met.
