Bahrain Mirror: The Friday preacher of the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Diraz, west of the capital Manama, Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, expressed "solidarity with the prisoners" and called on the authorities to "release them all on a humanitarian basis," stressing that "Those who don't keep political score should at least have humanity."
In his Friday sermon delivered on August 18, 2023, Sheikh Sanqour said: "We express solidarity with the prisoners, and make a serious and sincere call to end their suffering and release them all, on a humanitarian basis," stressing that "Those who don't keep political score should at least have humanity."
"We are sure that reasonable people in various places will seek, from this humanitarian aspect, to address this issue," he noted.
While underlining that "religion, instinct and humanity require everyone to work hard towards ending this humanitarian issue far from political scores," he considered that "the closure of this file will result in the spread of an atmosphere of optimism that is naturally required to enhance the state of stability to which everyone aspires."
