Bahrain Mirror: The authorities released Majeed Abdulmohsen, Mounir Mushaima, and Ali Mhanna, who were summoned on Friday, August 4, 2023, and detained for three days after presenting them to the Public Prosecution, over participating in a march held in the Diraz, west of the capital, Manama, to condemn the burning of the Holy Qura'n in Sweden.
Mhanna said in a video after his release: "I was in a great pain because I was summoned and interrogated for 6 hours, and for imprisoning me for two days, and presenting me to the Public Prosecution over my participation in the "Labayk Ya Qura'n" march against the burning of the holy Qur'an," adding that "the authority could have ignored the march, if it did not want to support it."
He added: "I was in a great pain when Bahrain delivered a message to the world that it supports Sweden in burning of the Qur'an by arresting demonstrators who came out to reject this act," considering that "it is a bad message and I reject it."
