Bahrain Mirror: The authorities released the youths they arrested from A'ali on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, after the Interior Ministry ordered them to hand over the mourning flags and black banners for Ashura, as well as the equipment they use to install them.
The security forces arrested the youths under the pretext of installing banners and flags, hours after the same forces attacked the Ashura manifestations. The authorities asked the families of the detained youths to hand them the banners, flags, and equipment in exchange for releasing their sons. However, the families rejected.
Security forces in civilian clothes assault Ashura manifestations in dozens of areas during the Ashura season, and the regime threatens residents through phone calls and summons to force them and those in charge of obsequies, mosques and processions to remove Ashura manifestations.
