Husseini Pulpit Speaker Sheikh Baqer Al-Maqdisi Passes Away

Bahrain Mirror: The Husseini pulpit speaker and Islamic preacher Sheikh Baqer Al-Maqdisi, one of the most prominent Husseini preachers, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
Born in the city of Najaf in 1939, the late preacher joined the Islamic seminary (Hawza) in Najaf in 1958 and continued studying at the seminary after his graduation before emigrating to Ahvaz in 1970.
He began preaching at the age of 19, in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Muscat, the UAE, Lebanon, London, Basra and Iran, and received his PhD in Islamic awareness from the "Intentional College of Islamic Sciences" in London.
The late preacher visited Bahrain in the 60s, where he read in its funerals and husseiniyas. His last visit was in 2003.
