Bahrain Mirror: The Deputy Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi, said that "the Bahraini regime continues to throw itself into the arms of the usurping Zionist entity while declaring its anger at the good people of Bahrain, arresting the Imam and preacher of the largest Friday of the Shiite community, the scholar and jurist Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, over his Friday sermon about the Zionists and the Zionist entity."
Sheikh Al-Daihi wondered in a tweet: "What do these charges over which Sheikh Sanqour is being interrogated mean?". He then replied saying "It is clear that the regime hasn't had enough with its popularly denounced crime of normalization and subsequent agreements of the same context, as it wants even more; it wants to be on the side defending the interests of the occupying entity."
"Therefore, (the regime) found nothing to do but return to its previous policies, targeting our prominent scholars," he said, noting that "the words of compassion said in the Friday sermons, which touch on the suffering of political prisoners through balanced speech are also being targeted. It is not allowed to talk about prisoners and their grievances because the regime wants a platform that remains silent about its transgressions and even justifies them."
Sheikh Al-Daihi went on to say: "There is no doubt that it is a foolish and escalatory step that is inseparable from the context of the perpetuation of political repression in Bahrain, and it is another form of oppression and hateful sectarian discrimination practiced by the Bahraini regime." He further stressed that the people of Bahrain will raise their voice to condemn these targeted acts.
