Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Press Association stressed that "the government of Bahrain is not called upon to reconsider Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja's file; it is only called upon to get rid of its revenge complex."
The association confirmed in a statement on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, that "despite many international appeals and diplomatic moves by the Danish government and the European Union countries, Bahrain insists to keep Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, who holds Danish citizenship, in prison."
It stressed that "it is inevitable to acknowledge that the spirit of revenge still dominates the mentality of statesmen in Bahrain when it comes to Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja specifically."
BPA pointed out that "the government of Bahrain bet on the time factor, which may be enough to cause the loss of momentum and even the case of Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja to be forgotten."
It called on the government of Bahrain to "reconsider the feelings of hatred that controls it, and act as a responsible state, not as a country laden with disdain and hatred."
