Bahrain Mirror: The Public Prosecution announced the detention of Mutshar Rafei Dandel, who identifies himself as the head of Al-Uqaydat tribe, on charges of "collecting funds without a license and broadcasting false news".
The Public Prosecution also accused Dandel of "flexing influence and claiming power to resolve and settle disputes between people without resorting to the authorities," noting that the defendant admitted, in a video posted on social media, collecting money for non-public purposes.
It is worth mentioning that Dandel and his relatives collected a large amount of money to pay the blood money of a person from "Al-Uqaydat" tribe in Saudi Arabia, convicted of killing a person from the "Dawasir" tribe.
