Bahrain Mirror: Sayed Abdullah Al-Ghuraifi confirmed that the number of prisoners in the "open prisons" step is "below the expected level in light of the overcrowding of prisoners in prisons."
Al-Ghuraifi stressed in a sermon he delivered at the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Gofoul on Saturday (April 8, 2023) that "the issue of prisons is very heavy, whether you call them open or closed, a prisoner is still a prisoner."
"Will we witness a more hopeful and optimistic Eid?", he wondered. He then answers: "There is no Eid in the light of pressing crises, crowded prisons, tears, poverty, and the unemployed flooding the country, while hopes are on looking for a way out."
