Bahrain Mirror: Labor Minister Jameel Hmaidan issued a decree appointing a temporary director to Bilad Al-Qadeem Charity (the charity of the ancient country, the Zanz and Azari) after the ministry rejected the accreditation of 6 of the elected members due to "Political Isolation Law".
The minister appointed Abdulkarim Abdulrasoul Ali Isa as a temporary director to Bilad Al-Qadeem Charity for 8 months.
Although the ministry previously approved the names of candidates, it withdrew its accreditation of 6 of the 9 winners in the charity's board elections.
This decision caused the halt of the charity's work and the aid for the needy as well.
In a letter to members of the General Assembly, the charity said that the ministry rejected 30 of the 34 candidates on different periods after applying the Political Isolation Law which deprives citizens who belong to (dissolved) political societies from running for elected (municipal and parliamentary) councils and the departments of public interest associations and sports clubs.
