Bahrain Mirror: The funeral ceremony for martyr Ali Qambar was concluded on Thursday (October 28, 2021) in his hometown in the Nuwaidrat area.
The martyr passed away on Monday (October 25, 2021), following a long journey of suffering from the effects of torture, disease and medical negligence in the Bahraini regime's prisons.
After the mourning rites, a popular march took place, toured a number of roads, leading to the martyr's grave, to salute and bid him farewell again. Young men carried a banner at the front of the march that read a eulogy recited by Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim in homage to the martyr, which says: "May Allah have mercy on you, who is dear to the people. You lived as a fighter for Allah's cause, and died in the path of Allah, rewarded for your deeds. May Allah reward you on behalf of your people and your nation the best of rewards, and may Allah bless you, Ali Qambar, with the martyrs and righteous one!"
A large crowd of citizens participated in the march in honor of Qambar and all the martyrs.
In the evening, a procession of burning candles was held as well, in the streets of Nuwaidrat, where participants wore black in an expression of grief and held up pictures of the martyr.
Bahraini authorities arrested Ali Qambar several times, the last of which was in 2014, and sentenced him to 37 years in prison on political charges, also stripping him of his Bahraini citizenship.
Martyr Qambar was subjected to torture by Interior Ministry forces, which led to the deterioration of his health, especially after he was subjected to medical neglect and denied treatment for a year. He was released in 2018 over fear of his death occurring in prison.
His long treatment journey did not work for him, as the illness took over him, until his demise on Monday.
