10-Year Jail Term Handed down to Two Defendants Accused of Joining Feb. 14 Coalition

Bahrain Mirror: The First High Criminal Court issued 10-year jail term against two youths, fined the first defendant 100,000 BD and the second 500 BD over taking part in February 14 coalition acts and printing banners and photos for the coalition.
The authorities claim that the two defendants took part in February 14 coalition acts which aim at calling to disrupt Constitution provisions and laws and preventing state institutions from performing their duties. They also accused them of acquiring explosives, without a license, aiming at using them to disrupt public peace. The authorities claim that the second defendant received money (100 BD), on behalf of the coalition, allocated to fund the practice of its activities.
