Lawyer Abdullah Hachem Suspended over Charge of Publishing False News

Bahrain Mirror: The Public Prosecution decided to suspend lawyer Abdullah Hachem for one week pending investigation after accusing him of publishing false news and misusing social media outlets.
The Public Prosecution said that it received a notice from the cybercrime directorate stating that one of the social media users used his personal account to publish false news that would harm the public order. The Prosecution launched its investigations, checked that news published in the defendant's personal account. It was shown that he has been publishing false information since a long time. The prosecution also noticed comments attributed to the defendant that would cause confusion and instability in the community as well as the questioning of the performance of authorities and their ability to maintain security and protect society.
The prosecution said it questioned the defendant and confronted him with what he published. It also ordered to arrest him pending investigation after accusing him of publishing false news, despite knowing that these information would harm the public order. The prosecution also accused him of misusing social media outlet.
