Government Fees Constitute 70% of Non-Oil Revenues

Bahrain Mirror: Finance Minister Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that revenues from service fees, products and government goods constitute about 70% of total non-oil revenues, according to the state final account data for 2017 without subsidies.
He said that the total revenues from government service and commodity fees and merchandise reached 362 million dinars in 2017, a rise of 13% compared to the fiscal year 2016.
The Minister of Finance explained that non-oil revenues constitute 24% of the total government revenue for the fiscal year 2017, according to the data of the state's final account for the same year.
According to the final account data for 2017, the total fees and taxes collected from Customs affairs amounted to 160 million, 332 thousand and 184 dinars, followed by the Ministry of Interior whose tax revenues and taxes reached 44 million, 568 thousand and 845 dinars, then the Ministry of Industry and Trade Tourism with 18 million, 514 thousand and 293 dinars revenues, while the revenues of the Purchase Survey And Land Registration amounted to 16 million, 886 thousand and 35 dinars.
