Court Upholds 10-Year Prison Sentence against Sheikh Hassan Isa

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's First High Court of Appeal upheld on Monday (October 29, 2018) a 10-year prison term issued against a prominent Al-Wefaq Society Official and former MP Sheikh Hassan Isa.
Isa was charged with funding an alleged "terrorist group" accused by the authorities of a bomb explosion in Sitra that killed two policemen and injured six others.
The same court had sentenced two defendants in the case to death, and five others to life imprisonment, while issuing prison sentences that ranged between 6 months and 10 years against the rest of the accused.
The court also withdrew the nationalities of 8 of the 24 defendants in the case (12 of whom are imprisoned).
