Over 50% of Governmental Websites, Electronic Services Transferred to AWS

Bahrain Mirror: Information and eGovernment Authority Chief Executive Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed said that 650 governmental processes were transferred to cloud computing, with the transfer of over 50% of websites and governmental electronic services to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Al-Qaed explained that the processes of transferring to cloud computing have achieved savings between 50 to 95%, dubbing the achieved benefit as "very large".
He said that the Information and eGovernment Authority has moved by 60 to 70% to cloud computing through AWS, indicating that this transition will significantly reduce operational costs, reduce time, and improve the level of government services.
