Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): As every investigation or follow-up committee, the investigation in the forged certificates case led to nothing, not because the forgery doesn't exist, but because the forgers themselves became the ones leading the investigation.

There is no reports about any punishment issued against the perpetrators, suspension of their jobs or fines for paying the dues they received for having these forged certificates like what happened in Kuwait. What the investigation produced is merely an order for establishing a commission for academic accreditation and that's it.

Fingers were being pointed at the Education Ministry. Instead of investigating the case, it finished the discussion early on with a statement by the Undersecretary of the Ministry Mohammed Mubarak Juma'a that said the case was deliberately triggered with the aim of having the degrees of students who graduated from Chinese universities recognized by the Ministry, which is an issue that had nothing to do with the case whatsoever. And like that, the case that occupied Bahrainis for days ended this simply.

As soon as we were done listening to this ridiculous response, another piece of news emerged stating that: Bahrain's Ambassador to Russia Ahmed Al-Saati "brigadier general of Forgery" presented his credentials to the head of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović, as an ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina residing in the Russian Federation.

It is true that Bahrainis did not expect Ambassador Al-Saati to be removed from his post and returned to Bahrain immediately after it was revealed that he received his PhD in human rights from the fake US University of Presley. They; however, did not expect the authorities to lose all sense of shame.

Al-Saati appeared near Bakir Izetbegović in traditional costume with a grin drawn across his face. The man is completely confident that a whole system of corruption is protecting him.

The House of Representatives also remained silent on the issue of forged certificates, for being part of the "system", or since some may be involved in "achieving" a forged degree just like Al-Saati, or MP Jassim Al-Saidi or the leader of forgers Khalifa Al-Dhahrani, former Speaker of Parliament, who was awarded an honorary PhD by Lahaye University.

The House of Representatives could have asked many questions, but it did not. The story ended without the council even raising its voice. Is it possible that not even a single case of forgery was discovered? Is it possible that it couldn't be proven that someone has obtained a certificate from fraudulent universities?

On what basis has the Ministry of Education ignored its role in approving certification of foreigners, or at least the credentials of those to work in the private school sector, where more than 50,000 Bahraini students receive their education? Why did it ignore information about the falsification of certificates of foreign teachers?

The regime has bypassed the phase of neglecting pending questions to stubbornness and continuing to accumulate errors. The appointment of Al-Saati as a non-resident ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a message saying that the regime is not to be tested regarding its implementation of reform, but is rather being tested for its competence in protecting the system of personal interests and corruptors.
