Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain Medical Society refused the doctors' approach to establish another entity representing them and said in a statement "as an only and official representative to all doctors, it is always ready to adopt their cases and visions".

It also saw that "attempts of some fellow doctors to establish entities and groups similar to Bahrain Medical Society will only lead to scattering the efforts and sending wrong and ununified messages to the officials and public opinion."

The society hailed the "Ministry of Justice's supporting stance".

A change made by the Ministry of Justice allowed foreigners to vote in the society's elections, which made it far from representing the interests of Bahrainis, according to several doctors.
