Bahrain Stock Exchange Index Continues to Decline by 0.36 Percent

Bahrain Mirror: The general index of the Bahrain bourse closed Wednesday (August 1, 2018) with a limited decline, falling to 1353.45 points against 1358.35 points, losing 0.36 percent, i.e. 4.90 points, shrinking index gains since the beginning of the year to 1.63 percent.
According to Al-Hayat newspaper, a recent session witnessed trading in the shares of 11 companies. The share of one company rose, while the shares of 3 companies fell, and the prices of 7 companies remained at their previous prices, leading to a decline in market value to 8.30 billion dinars, a loss of 30 million dinars, down by 0.36 percent.
Investors focused on the commercial banking sector, whose share value reached 722,000 dinars, i.e. 82.4 percent of the total value traded, with 2.9 million shares executed through 81 transactions.
