Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa issued a decree replacing Article 4 of 2007 Decree on granting of residence permit to foreigners under personal sponsorship.

The Interior Minister's decree stipulates that a residence permit be granted on personal sponsorship for two years for a fee of 200 dinars; for a period of 5 years for a fee of 400 dinars, and for a period of ten years for 600 dinars.

The decree indicated that the permit may be renewed for similar periods, provided that the application for renewal is submitted on the form prepared for this purpose, accompanied by the required documents at least four weeks before the expiry of the residence permit.
