Bahrain Mirror: Activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh said that one month following an arbitrary prevention of right to visits, Zakiya Al-Barbouri (28 years) and Fatima Dawoud Hassan (19 years) were allowed to meet their families. The families received a short call from their detained daughters on Thursday (14/6/2018) saying that they are fine and they were finally allowed right to visits.
The activist said that the two detainees were skinny due to weight loss and that the visit duration didn't exceed half an hour, noting that they were not given privacy. She further stated that one month following their arrest, the decision to keep them in solitary confinement was terminated.
The Bahraini authorities refrained from revealing the detention place of the 2 Bahraini women who were arrested by the Special Forces on Thursday (May 17, 2018), after raiding their houses in Nuwaidrat.
Zakiya Al-Barbouri and Fatima Dawoud Hassan have been only allowed to call their families once since their 28 days of arrest. The Public Prosecution rejected a request by a lawyer to meet the 2 detainees at their detention place and ordered (on June 6, 2018) to arrest them 30 days pending investigations.
