Bahrain: Reverse Auctions Worth BD 3.7 Bln Last Year, Minister

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Housing and Chairman of the Tender and Auction Board, Bassem Al-Hamr, revealed that "the Board has placed tenders worth more than 3.7 billion dinars in 2017, with 105% growth compared to 2016, whose biddings amounted to 1.6 billion dinars."
Al-Hamr told reporters on the sidelines of the opening session of the second Procurement Middle East Conference that the infrastructure sector accounted for 35% of the 2017 biddings.
