Southern Municipality Removed over 175,000 Tons of Waste in 2017

Bahrain Mirror: The head of the Municipality of the Southern Governorate Assem Abdullatif Abdullah said that the cleaning services department at the municipality removed in 2017 approximately 175,887 tons of household, construction, commercial and industrial waste, in addition to sweeping the streets.
He pointed out that in the same period, the Municipality removed 247 scrap vehicles, 609 unauthorized advertisements, 325 dead animals, 42 construction violations and vendor stands.
As for health notifications, 3377 notices were issued over a period of 12 months, which involved sewer repair, scrap vehicles put for sale, dumping of regular and agricultural waste, motor boats and crafts, stables and pens and the cleaning company.
