Bahrain Mirror: Statistics issued by the Ministry of Health until end of 2017 showed that the number of people who suffer from chronic diseases and registered in the ministry like cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart diseases reached 45189 cases.

Cancerous diseases decreased in comparison to the past 5 years as recorded cases amounted to 565 , while diabetes cases reached 7215. Meanwhile, heart diseases reached 16695 cases and respiratory system diseases 20714.
