Council of Ministers Approves Amendments to Allow Appeal before Cassation Court against all Civil and Sharia Rulings

Bahrain Mirror: The Council of Ministers approved in its regular meeting on Monday (February 26, 2018) the amendment of the Court of Cassation Law. The amendment allows making appeals before the Court of Cassation against all civil and Sharia rulings, regardless of the court that issues the verdict.
The amendment came in line with the provisions of the Family Law. The Council decided to refer a bill amending some provisions of the Court of Cassation issued by Legislative Decree No. (8) of 1989 to the Legislative Authority in light of the recommendation of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs presented by the Deputy Prime Minister.
