Bahrain Mirror: Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) company said that its total sales reached 857.8 million BD ($2.3 Billion) in 2017, versus 669.8 million BD ($1.8 billion) in 2016. Meanwhile, the total sales for the fourth quarter stood at 252.7 million BD ($672.2 million), versus 181.6 million BD ($483.0 million) for the same period in 2016, due to the increase in London's Metal Exchange.

According to the company's statement, Alba's net profits in 2017 reached 92.5 million BD ($245.9 million), compared to 48.8 million BD ($128.7 million). As for the fourth quarter of 2017, the company announced a net profit of 23.5 million BD ($62.4 million), compared to 13.7 million BD ($36.5 million) for the same period in 2016.

Alba's Board of directors recommended a dividend distribution of 36.8 million BD ($97.9 million) for the fiscal year 2017 which will be paid from March 21, 2018.
