Civil Defence: 5 Houses Burnt, 28 Houses and 30 Cars Damaged Due to Oil Pipeline Fire in Buri

Bahrain Mirror: Head of the Manama Civil Defence Centre, Captain Mohammed Abu Al-Fateh stated that 28 houses were damaged and 5 of them were burnt as a result of the terrorist act that targeted oil pipelines near Buri last week.
Captain Abu Al-Fateh said in Al-Amn radio show that the accident caused various damages in 30 cars, 5 public properties in the site as well as 38 shops.
He hailed the cooperation of Buri citizens with the firefighters through following the needed directions in order to avoid losses in lives and properties.
He indicated that the operations and emergency room received a notice stating that a blast was heard and a fire broke out in one of oil pipelines near Buri village at 10:16 PM last Friday. The civil defence teams reached the site of the oil pipeline fire near Buri within three minutes of reporting the case and carried out the necessary evacuation, fire-fighting and cooling operations.
Al-Fateh further stated that the fire was controlled within 2 hours and 20 minutes, which is considered a record time with respect to the fire caused by the blast.
Meanwhile, the Head of Hidd Civil Defence Centre, Captain Ali Mohammed Al-Miran said that after the fire had been controlled, the teams searched for dangerous or toxic substances in the site to carry out the necessary cleansing.
