Bahrain Mirror: The governmental committee headed by Bahraini Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Zayed Al-Zayani postponed the decision to raise commercial registration fees for 6 months, so that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) can study the situation of small merchants.
The proposal of the BCCI to postpone the implementation of Ministerial Edict 130/2016, which would have taken effect in September, 2017, for another six months, ending in March, 2018, has been approved following a series of meetings.
BCCI has warned that the decision to raise commercial registration fees would lead to the bankruptcy of small and medium-sized enterprises.
