Bahrain Mirror: Under-secretary for Municipal Affairs at the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Nabeel Abu Al Fateh said that the building permits to investment projects that were issued since the onset of the year until August 9 reached 592 in a building space that exceeds 4 million meter square and over billion BD cost.

He explained that "the numbers issued by the comprehensive municipal center indicated that granting of building permits to investment projects is moving forward in its normal pace since the onset of the year until August," noting that "the issued licenses in 2015 over the same period were 445; however, reached 639 in 2016. The average number of granted licenses was stable in the past 3 years, however, this year's licenses were better in terms of the estimated cost of construction that exceeded one billion BD."
