Appeals Court Issues One-Year Jail Term against Suspect Accused of Planting Hoax Bomb in A’ali

Bahrain Mirror: The Sixth High Court of Appeals presided over by judge Ibrahim Al-Zayed and memberships of judges Dia'a Al-Huraidi and Salah Rizk and Yousif Bu Hardan as secretariat commuted the 3-year jail term issued against a suspect, accused of planting hoax bomb in A'ali, to one year only.
The first instance court had sentenced 4 suspects in this case to 3 years in prison and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
The authorities claim that on August 4, 2016, the suspects put a hoax bomb or explosive in a public place for a terrorist aim, burnt, along with other unknowns, tires on the public street, endangering people's lives and money for a terrorist aim, took part in an assembly of more than 5 persons in a public place, aiming at disrupting public peace and acquired, along with other unknowns, Molotov.
