Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi addressed a televised speech on Monday (May 29, 2017) in which he said that the regime's inclination to escalate the situation regarding Ayatollah Qassim's case means declaring a total alienation from the majority (of the population). "It is no doubt the period after attack on this prominent figures in not as period before," he noted.

Al-Daihi greeted the martyrs and their families as well as the mother of two martyrs Mohamad and Mostafa Hamdan for her sacrifices.

He went on to say that the regime killed the martyrs, executed them and dubbed them "outlaws", adding that the regime held the bodies of the martyrs and threatened their families to forcibly bury them, fearing from disclosing its crimes and violations against the bodies of the martyrs.

The young men in Diraz sincerely proved that their dignity and pride are not compliments, Sheikh Al-Daihi said.

He stressed that "the regime seeks to destroy the national unity through these heinous security practices", calling on "to face these practices via staging more protests, embracing persecuted young men, caring for harmed families."

Al-Daihi further stated that "The regime worked for a year on distorting and defaming the image of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim", adding that Sheikh Qassim is an important figure and symbol for the national and Islamic unity.

He addressed the regime saying "your goals you sought to achieve have failed."

"We will remain preachers of Islamic and national unity. The sectarian conflict scheme will not see light in Bahrain ever," he added. Al-Daihi thanked Shiite and Sunni clerics and different political societies for their righteousness stance.

He stressed that the International Community should not stand silent before the massacres committed by the Bahraini regime, deeming "the US and UK administrations responsible for supporting the local repressive policies of the Bahraini regime".

Al-Daihi highlighted that the Bahraini regime works today on silencing dissidents, human rights activists, and journalists after eradicating the institutional presence of the opposition.  

"The regime's inclination to escalate the situation regarding Ayatollah Qassim's case means declaring a total alienation from the majority (of the population), which will make any turn back very difficult," adding that "we can say that this is a new start point for the movement, not the final one. It will compel everyone to take on their national responsibility, he added.

Al-Wefaq Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi said that anyone who knows Bahraini people is aware that the raid on the protest site increases the determination of Bahrainis to proceed in their way, "these people haven't and will not sign an act of slavery and humiliation," he expressed.
