Bahrain Mirror: Shiite religious authority Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi issued a statement condemning the attack launched by the rulers of Bahrain on the house of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, reported Tasnim News Agency.

"The rulers of Bahrain continue to blindly follow Saudi Arabia and America, as they carried out a cowardly attack on the home of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim. They killed, injured and arrested a large group of Bahraini citizens. This cowardly act turns a new black page in the record of disastrous acts, and spreads the seeds of hatred and enmity everywhere."

"They do not know that following Saudi Arabia and the US will lead them to the same dreadful fate of Saddam and his likes," he added.

He further called on the rulers of Bahrain to "return to the right path before it is too late, and respond to the legitimate demands of the Bahraini people."
