Diraz Martyrs' Families: MoI Deciding Upon Martyrs' Corpses, a Deprivation of our Constitutional Right
2017-05-27 - 7:52 م
Bahrain Mirror: The families of the five martyrs (Diraz martyrs) reiterated their demands to the official authorities to hand them over the martyrs' corpses so that they can wash them, hold them a funeral procession in accordance to beliefs and bury them in the cemeteries specified by the families.
The families considered in a statement on Saturday (May 27, 2017) that "holding the bodies of martyrs or deciding upon them is a violation of legitimate provisions imposed by the Islamic religion and represent a clear violation to the customs and humanitarian value. It is a deprivation of our constitutional, legal, ethical and humanitarian rights. We refuse this act and we will resort to all legal means to restore this right."
