Bahrain Mirror: Chief of Public Security Tariq Al-Hassan said on Thursday (May 18, 2017) that 20 policemen were killed since 2011, indicating that the security apparatuses had seized a number of Iranian linked cells.
The ruling family is facing vast popular protests in Bahrain demanding to put an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power. However, the security apparatuses accuse the protestors of using violence and having links with foreign parties, including Iran.
Al-Hassan said in a security meeting that included officials from the Gulf and Britain that more than 3300 policemen were injured in attacks.
