Local Newspaper: Authorities Block Diraz Entrance Facing Barbar, Opens the One Facing Al-Markh

Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wasat newspaper said that the security forces blocked on Thursday (March 30, 2017) Diraz entrance facing Barbar village and allowed the entrance of students and teachers only, noting that this entrances is one of the two through which residents are allowed to reach Diraz.
The newspaper added that the authorities opened Diraz entrance facing Al-Markh village as an alternative to the one it blocked. Reasons behind this measure are still unknown.
Diraz, resided by about 30 thousands, has been witnessing a strict siege since June 2016 based on the open sit-in held outside the spiritual leader of Shia majority Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, protesting against the decision that revoked his citizenship.
Authorities only allow Diraz residents to enter the village.
