US Official Meets with Bahraini Crown Prince, Interior Minister and BDF Commander-in-Chief during Visit to Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: The US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the Near East Affairs Bureau, Stuart E. Jones met with Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad, Interior Minister Rashid Al Khalifa and Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force Khalifa bin Ahmad, during his visit to the island kingdom of Bahrain.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) the Crown Prince discussed with Jones "a range of regional and international developments, in addition to the agenda of the biannual (American Chamber of Commerce Regional) Forum" during the meeting, as well as "shared interests, including defence and security."
Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa also received the US official on Wednesday (March 15, 2017). The meeting highlighted "the importance of cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries, especially in security," reported BNA. The meeting was also attended by the Director of Joint Counterterrorism Centre at the Interior Ministry.
BNA also stated that in his meeting with the Commander-in-Chief, Jones reviewed "the Bahrain-US relations of friendship and cooperation, and ways to bolster them in various fields," without giving further details.
