Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini court decided to postpone issuing verdict in Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim's case to May 7, 2017.

A court had set March 14 as a date to issue its verdict in Sheikh Isa Qassim's case, but then decided to adjourn it until May 7.

The authorities are trying Sheikh Qassim, his office head Sheikh Hussein Mahrous, and Mirza Al-Dirazi, for performing Khums Shiite ritual and accuse them of laundering money and raising funds without licenses. Meanwhile, Sheikh Isa Qassim refused to admit the trial or attend any of its sessions. He also refused to assign a lawyer in the vexatious case.

Mass protests marched the streets in more than 50 Bahraini villages yesterday. Protestors wore shrouds in expression of their readiness to defend Sheikh Isa Qassim on his trial eve.

The authorities revoked on June 20, 2016 the nationality of Sheikh Isa Qassim which made thousands of people stage a sit-in outside his house until the moment. It is to mention that all the authorities' attempts to break the sit-in failed.
