3&5-Year Jail Term Handed down to 6 Suspects over Planting Hoax Bomb in Salmabad

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's High Criminal Court sentenced 2 suspects to 3 years in prison and 4 others to 5 years over setting fire and planting hoax bomb.
The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of deliberately setting fire to tires, along with others, on February 13, 2014, for a terrorist aim, planting a hoax bomb for a terrorist aim and taking part in an assembly of more than 5 persons, aiming at disrupting public peace.
The authorities claim that the suspects, along with other unknowns, agreed among each other to go out in a march aiming at making riots in Salmabad, gathered in Salmabad cemetery and had a number of tires, fuel bottle and hoax bomb, blocked the internal streets of Salmabad with woods and trash cans and headed to the public street. The authorities added that the suspects put tires and burnt them and that the second suspect planted a hoax bomb on the public street and fled away.
