Bahrain Mirror: Thousands of Bahrainis took part (Tuesday February 21, 2017) in the funeral of Martyr Abdullah Al Ajouz, who was killed by regime forces in an arrest attempt Monday dawn, in the Nuwaidrat village, south east Manama.
Al Ajouz was arrested on April 22, 2013, and received prison verdicts amounting up to 34 years in prison. He was successful on June 4, 2016 to escape from the Dry Dock Prison along with other detainees.
The martyr's family was pressured by the Ministry of Interior to conduct his funeral Tuesday morning, at a time when regime forces were deployed at the entrances of Nuwaidrat.
Despite the imposed siege, thousands of men and women took part in the funeral, and chanted slogans calling for the "fall of the regime" and "down with Hamad", in reference to King Hamad Al Khalifa, whom they deem responsible for Bahrain's deteriorating security status.
The Interior Ministry claimed that Al Ajouz died of injuries caused after he fell down, while his family denied this ministry's claim, stressing that there were no signs of any fracture in his body.
