Bahrain Mirror: The Unitary National Democratic Assemblage said in a statement last Sunday (November 6, 2016) that its Central Committee held a meeting in the society's headquarters, in which they discussed political developments on the local and regional levels. They also talked about the news circulated that there could be a review of the 6 main demands mentioned in the Manama document, one which the Unitary Assemblage helped draft with the rest of the opposition forces five years ago.

The Assembly stressed that the Manama Document, despite all the changes that have occurred over the past few years, still represents the demands of the opposition, adding that it is futile to redraft the document as long as serious dialogue to end the political crisis is absent.

Moreover, the society's Central Committee believed that dissolving al-Wefaq Society is a serious blow in the face of political action in the country. It further called on the rest of the opposition forces to revive the opposition national democratic coalition against all challenges.

In addition, the Unitary National Democratic Assemblage called on the authorities to prepare the circumstances for a serious dialogue with the opposition, through easing the tension on the political arena. The society noted that this could happen through releasing the political prisoners and halting security measures in all areas, including the town of Diraz, which has been under siege for more than 4 months.

In regard to the Israeli delegation that intends to visit Bahrain next May (2017), the society's Central Committee said, "This unprecedented step is an obvious step to normalize with the entity occupying Palestine, and is inconsistent with the Bahraini people's stances, that have supported the Palestinian struggle against the occupation for decades."
