Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities released on Friday (October 21, 2016) youth Shawki Radhi, from Al-Ekr village, after serving his 5 and half years prison term.
Radhi, along with others, was accused of what is known as "incidents of University of Bahrain". A military court sentenced him to 15 years in prison, however, a civilian court commuted the sentence issued against him after retrying him.
Radhi is considered one of the oldest detainees of February 14th uprising. He was arrested on April 26, 2011 after a friend of him reported on Radhi and others. He was subjected to different kinds of torture while in detention in order to extract confessions upon which he was tried.
