Former CEO of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry Convicted over Insulting Charge via WhatsApp

Bahrain Mirror: The first minor criminal court convicted the former CEO of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nabeel Al-Mahmood over the charge of insulting member of the board of directors Ahmed Bin Hindi through WhatsApp message on a group that includes members of the board of directors and number of employees. The court also fined him 50 BD and referred the case to the specialized civilian court.
The case was referred to the court after Ahmed bin Hindi filed a complaint against Nabeel Al-Mahmoud despite the latter sent an apology message to Bin Hindi. Ahmed Bin Hindi filed a complaint against the suspect over the charge of "damaging the victim's character and integrity through the phone". During the trial, Bin Hindi demanded a temporal civilian compensation of 10 thousands BD, thus, the court fined the convicted 50 BD and referred the case to the specialized civilian court.
