Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wasat Bahraini newspaper said that the Jaffaria Endowments (Waqf) renamed two mosques in "A'ali" village to "Sheikh Khalaf Al-Asfour Mosque".

This action, which was preceded by a similar one, as the Jaffaria Endowments renamed a mosque from "Old Buri Mosque" to "Sheikh Khalaf Al-Asfour" Mosque as well, brought up resentment among the residents.

The Jaffaria Endowments, headed by Sheikh Mohsen Al-Asfour, changed the names of both "Old A'ali Mosque" and A'ali Grand (Al-Kabir) Mosque to "Sheikh Khalaf Al-Asfour".
