Bahrain Mirror: The National Democratic Action Society "Wa'ad" announced officially on Wednesday that its eighth General Conference will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 3-4, 2016.
Head of the Central Committee in the society, Yousif Al-Khaja, said that the Committee set this date in its fifth session, adding that the focus of the eighth general conference will focus on the discussion and adoption of the Central Committee reports. The two important reports scheduled to be discussed are the political report, which focuses on the local, Gulf, Arab, and International political situations during the period between the 7th and 8th conferences, and the economic report, which analyzes some sectors of Bahrain's economy.
Al-Khaja pointed out that in the upcoming conference, 30 members will be elected to join the Central Committee. This came after the exceptional conference held in November 6, 2015 decided to reduce the members of the Central Committee from 50 members to 30. This also came in light of the amendment introduced into the "Wa'ad" system, stating that the Central Censorship Committee will be directly be elected during the conference, instead of being elected by the Central Committee, aiming at achieving more authority and independency in terms of censorship in all the internal units of "Wa'ad". Al Khaja also added that seven members will be elected for the Central Censorship Committee during the conference.
Head of the Central Committee in the society, Yousif Al-Khaja concluded his statement saying that after the Head of the Supreme Conference Committee was elected, the small committees started their preparations of documents that would help mobilize capacities for the success of the eighth General Conference.
