Bahrain Mirror: The Saudi Al-Wasat newspaper said that the Bahraini Public Prosecution will start today on Monday (August 29, 2016) an investigation in a case in which a Bahraini media person insulted Saudi clerics, following a notice submitted by the Saudi lawyer Othman Al-Otaibi.
"The Saudi lawyer is waiting for the Bahraini prosecution to reveal the details of the raised lawsuit after it asked him to appear, in person, as an introduction to start the trial procedures," it added, noting that the Bahraini media person attacked the Saudi Sheikhs and clerics, describing their approach as extremist, further claiming that this approach has created criminals in the Arab World like "ISIS".
According to the newspaper, the official notice included "voice evidence of the Bahraini media person in which he challenged the Salafi beliefs, stressing that the West has developed on the levels of technology, society and economy, while the Arab Muslim world is still discussing the thought of Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Baz, Ibn Othaimin and Mohammad bin Abdulwahab." The notice also mentioned that the defendant also described them with terms that do not suit their religious position.
